Lactation Consult

These appointments are specific to your lactation needs and could include a wide variety of topics, such as:

• prenatal counseling in preparation for your child’s birth
• how to establish breastfeeding and milk supply
• infant latching
• the “golden hour”
• pumping
• safe milk storage
• back-to-work/school planning
• weaning strategies
• troubleshooting specific problems/concerns

Using an individualized, family-centered approach we will work collaboratively to ensure that your breastfeeding goals are achieved and that mealtimes with your newborn will be safe, functional, nurturing and a positive experience for you both!

• Appointments last up to 60 minutes
• Appointments are billed under your name (not your infant).
• We do not participate with insurance companies at this time. Superbills can be generated upon request to submit to your insurance company for secondary reimbursement.
  • Please check with your insurance company prior to the appointment about reimbursement for out-of-network care by a Certified Lactation Counselor.
  •  Check your coverage carefully as we cannot guarantee reimbursement.
  • You may use your FSA or HSA to cover services.
