As I sit down to write this, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of excitement and purpose. I want to share with you why I’ve decided to embark on this new journey – a practice dedicated to empowering you, the unsung heroes in your infants’ lives.

My journey began in the bustling outpatient world of a pediatric gastroenterology department, where I first encountered the challenges faced by infants with feeding difficulties. However, it was my transition to the Level 3 NICU that truly ignited my passion and purpose. There, amidst the beeps of monitors and the resilient spirits of tiny fighters, I found my calling. ear after year, I got to witness firsthand the tremendous progress in the feeding skills of these vulnerable infants. But as time went on, I began to see a fundamental truth that would change everything: You, the parents, are the most significant people in your infants’ lives.

This realization sparked a transformation in my approach. I started to envision a better way of supporting feeding success – one that put you at the center of care. My practice began to shift from a “problem-focused” model to a “family-centered” approach, with parent training and support taking center stage.

And oh, what a difference it made!

As I began working more closely with you, providing education, answering questions, and offering guidance, I witnessed the most incredible metamorphosis. You became empowered advocates for your babies. You asked thoughtful questions, made informed decisions, and followed through on recommendations with determination and love.

The results were nothing short of amazing. Success stories started pouring in, each one a testament to the power of parent involvement. Babies who had struggled to feed were now thriving under your confident care. The joy and relief on your faces as you watched your little ones grow stronger was the most rewarding sight I’ve ever seen.

But something else began to happen – something that truly confirmed I was on the right path. The frequency of appointments started to decrease. Families were coming in less often, needing only a few visits spread over weeks or months. Why? Because you had gained the fundamental knowledge and understanding to help your baby on your own.

I found myself in a new role – not as the primary problem-solver, but as a secondary support. You would come to me with questions or ideas, often to find that my answers simply validated your own natural parenting instincts. It was clear that you had become the true experts in your child’s care.

This journey has led me to a profound understanding: when we empower parents, we create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the clinic walls. You carry the love, the instinct, and the dedication that no medical degree can replicate. My role is not to replace your expertise, but to enhance it, to give you the tools and confidence to trust your own abilities.

And so, dear parents, I’ve decided to create this practice – a space dedicated to nurturing your strength, celebrating your intuition, and supporting your journey. Here, we’ll work together to build your confidence, answer your questions, and develop strategies tailored to your unique family.

This is more than just a new business venture for me. It’s a love letter to all of you – the sleepless nights you endure, the worries you carry, and the boundless love you pour into your children. It’s a recognition of your power and potential as the primary caregivers and first teachers of your infants.
