Aleks is a bilingual Polish/English speech/language pathologist specializing in feeding/swallowing in infants and young children, and holds additional specialization as an:

  • Certified Neonatal Therapist (CNT)
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist
  • Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist Certified

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Aleks completed her Clinical Fellowship in Neonatal and Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and acute Pediatric floors.

As a full-time clinician working with premature, medically fragile infants and complex pediatric patients, Aleks has work to provide assessment and treatment of feeding and swallowing disorders, lactation support to caregivers of breastfeeding infants and their infants, and facilitate neuroprotective care strategies to promote bonding and development within a Family Centered Care Model. She voluntarily collaborate with Project Sweet Peas, a non-profit organization working to support families of premature or sick infants and to those who have been affected by pregnancy and infant loss. She also voluntarily sits on the Board of Advisors for the National Perinatal Association, where she collaborates with various professionals in promoting access to care for individuals in the prenatal, perinatal and postnatal periods. 

In her free time she enjoy reading psychological thriller novels, staying active, playing with my fur baby Binx, and taking walks around the water by Hoboken with her wife, Danielle.
