Shanon is a speech/language pathologist that holds additional specialization/certifications for:

• International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
• Advanced Certificate in Pediatric Dysphagia 
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Shannon has worked for the Early Intervention Program in New York state for over a decade, as well as with NYU Langone Health. 

Shannon had her first child in August of 2020 during the global pandemic. Her goal was to exclusively breastfeed him, but as a naïve first-time mother, she had no idea what she was in for, despite being a feeding therapist. Needless to say, she struggled. That’s where her passion for breastfeeding and advocating for lactation care began. 

Shannon received an advanced certificate in pediatric dysphagia in 2025 and will complete a mentorship program with the National Association for Neonatal Therapists (NANT) in March 2026. Shannon’s goal is to someday work in a neonatal intensive care unit providing comprehensive feeding care to families. 

Shannon’s favorite restaurant is Ladurée in Soho. She even had her intimate wedding there in 2018, with 17 people in attendance. Each year she goes there for her anniversary with her children. Her dream is to someday dine at the one in Paris, France.
