Teni (she/her) is a bilingual English/Spanish neonatal occupational therapist specializing in feeding and development therapy. She is licensed to treat infants in New Jersey, New York and California. She holds additional specialization as an:

• Certified Neonatal Therapist (CNT)
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
• Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist Certified (NTMTC)
• Care of Extremely Low Birth Weight Neonate Certified (C-ELBW)
• California Advanced Practice Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, and Intervention (SWC)

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver, in Denver, CO, and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Teni began her career as an acute care therapist working with hospitalized adults, and began training as a neonatal specialist in 2016; she has been completely dedicated to treating babies since 2018.

As a clinician specializing in providing care to premature and medically complex infants, Teni assesses and treats infants born as early as 23 weeks gestation to promote optimal neurological and physical development and facilitate social and emotional bonding; she is passionate about supporting the feeding journey of each and every baby and every family, and considers it a privilege to help families through the NICU experience. As a recent NICU twin mom herself, she brings a unique perspective to her work as a therapist. 

Outside of her work as a therapist, she spends her time chasing around her twin toddlers, looking for the best cacio e pepe in the NYC area with her spouse, and swing dancing competitively around the world.
